Had my lovely Lubitel twin lens reflex camera out with me this weekend, and shot a few frames at a cosy pub just to finish off the roll. The results were pretty fun, though, with insane light bleeding across the crazy cross-processed red of the Astia slide film. Fantastic! The whole roll was pretty great actually, so expect more to come.

Deja de caminar sin rumbo fijo. Éstate quieto un rato, sin cruzar las autovías mirando al cielo. Puede que en esta oscuridad no veas nada, pero estás en una encrucijada. Caminos a tus laterales, diagonales, a tu espalda... No tienes porque ir siempre hacia delante, puedes pararte, girar a la izquierda, dar la vuelta, e incluso desandar camino. Sólo quiero decirte que es importante pararse y disfrutar. Observar el cielo, disfrutar de las flores entre las piedras, tomar un poco de aliento. Pero hay algo que es aún más importante: nunca mires atrás.

We got talking and I told him I would love to do a session at the beach and have him do some of the Shaolin poses. He was more than up for it! He brought along some of the weapons that are used in the martial arts and did some really cool poses along the rocks of Leo Carrillo.

Here are some of my favorite shots from the session

It's a very compact 35mm plastic camera with an unusually wide lens.  The lens (like everthing alse on it) is plastic and can make for interesting lens flare which is all part of the charm.

It takes standard 35mm film. There's no flash or electronics.  It's a very simple manual camera, small enough to fit in your pocket (but beware the shutter button is easily pressed).

I am told it's roughly f11 with shutter speed of 1/125. 

The lens is so wide it's very easy to get fingers and bits of your body in the frame without realising.  The viewfinder shows a wide view but the lens is actually even wider than the viewfinder respresents!

I bought mine off ebay.co.uk for £4.99 plus postage.  Apparently you can get them for even less.  You can't really see a sense of scale in the pictures but it's just a litte larger than a packet of playing cards.

What I already love about this little plastic camera is it's super convieniant to carry with you.  Very lightweight, easy to use (all you can do is point and click after all!) yet it has wonderful plastic fantastic charm.  It's not great for low light or indoors photography but in good light it's a great lo-fi camera.

no i pojechały. na dwa miesiące. i co ja teraz zrobię? sama jak palec zostałam na tym świecie... no, prawie ;)

poza tym przeżywam teraz gwałtowny nawrót na cywilizację i założyłam sobie gadu gadu. po dwóch latach obywania się bez tego ustrojstwa szatańskiego. zobaczymy co z tego wyjdzie.

Awalnya pengen menaikkan derajat Diana F+ gw dengan lensa fisheye, tapi setelah melihat-lihat Fisheye 2 bertengger di etalase dan kayaknya minta dibeli :D ...akhirnya gw merampok bank terdekat menguras sedikit lagi tabungan gw, untuk membelinya!!! Pemikiran gw:

1. Fisheye 2 ini pake 35 mm filmnya, lebih banyak di pasaran, jadi kalo si Diana F+ lagi kagak ada 120 mm-nya, masih bisa jepret-jepret...walaupun ntar hasil fotonya mungkin lebih prestisius kalo pake Diana F+, yang notabene menurut gw (dan kata orang) lebih sulit dihandel dibanding Fisheye 2...
2. Lensa Fisheye buat Diana F+ ternyata mahal juga kalo itungannya cuma dapet lensa aja, gw kirain berapa harganya, 100 ribu perak gitu *bodoh , eh lebih mahal...sekalian aja gw beli kamera Fisheye benerannya, emang agak mahal sih, at least gw dapet kameranya, dan masih di bawah sejuta, still reasonable...

Now, I'm working on 3rd roll for Svetlana and very 1st roll for Lazarev...wish me luck with them!!

ไหว้พระเรียบร้อย เดินไปลงเรือที่ท่าเรือหลังวัด เสียคนละ100บาท (มีไกด์นำชมแถมน้ำแดงแก้วนึง ใช้เวลาเดินทางครึ่งชม.) เป็นเรือที่จะพาไป "ตลาดบ้านใหม่" ตลาดร้อยปี อารมณ์ประมาณอัมพวา สามชุก ดอนหวาย หรือตลาดอินเทรนด์ทั้งหลาย แต่ที่นี่ดูจะยังไม่ทันสมัยขนาดนั้น ยังไม่มีคาเฟ่เท่ๆมาติดตั้ง ที่สำคัญ "อาหาร" อร่อยมากกก อาหารแทบจะไม่ซ้ำกันซักร้าน ไกด์จากเรือก็พาชมตลาดอย่างคล่องแคล่ว แปลนตลาดจะเป็นรูปตัววาย Y โดยที่เราขึ้นจากเรือที่ขาของตัววาย เดินมาเรื่อยๆจะพบแยก(ตรงแยกนี้มีร้านก๋วยเตี๋ยวสามแม่ครัว น่ากินมาก แต่อิ่มซะก่อน เลยอด) จากแยกเดินไปซ้ายจะไปพบทางออกถนนใหญ่ ที่เพิ่งรู้ว่า กูก็มารถสองแถวสีขาว 9 บาทก็ได้นี่หว่า เดินย้อนกลับมาตรงแยกตัววายอีกครั้ง แต่คราวนี้ เดินไปแยกขวามั่ง ปลายทาง(เดินไปอีกหน่อย)เป็น วัดจีนเล่ง ฮก ยี่ ลองเข้าไปดูก็ดูขลังดี มีรูปปั้นสวยๆเยอะดี

ตอนขึ้นมาตลาด คุณไกด์จะบอกว่า คุณมีเวลาห้าสิบนาทีในการชมตลาดนะคะ กรุณารักษาเวลาด้วยนะคะ แต่เราตัดสินใจว่าจะไม่กลับไปขึ้นเรืออีก เพราะตลาดมันน่าสนใจกว่าการรีบๆเดิน แล้วกลับทางเรือ ฟังเรื่องที่เราไม่อยากรู้ ก็เลยคิดว่าคงกลับรถสองแถวเก้าบาท ตรงดิ่งไปสถานีรถไฟเลยละกัน เลยเดินกินนู่นนี่ สบายพุง

แล้วก็กลับไปสถานีตอนบ่ายสองกว่าๆ ขึ้นรถกลับถึงกทม. สามโมงครึ่ง สนุกดี เดี๋ยวคงไปอีกติดใจอาหาร
ความจริงมีเงินร้อยนึงก็ไปได้ ค่ารถไปกลับ+ค่าสองแถว ไม่เกินสี่สิบ เหลือหกสิบไว้กินนู่กินนี่ สบายยยย

ลองไปเที่ยวดูนะ..

ปล.1 ถ้าได้ไปตลาดบ้านใหม่ ลองลูกชิ้นปลา ขนมเปี๊ยะ ผัดไทโบราณดูนะ อร่อยลืมโลก

ปล.2 ลองกล้องทอย Golden Half เอาไปฉะเชิงเทรา(ของมาอยู่ในมือปุ๊บรู้สึกว่ามีเขางอก กูซื้อมาทำไมวะเนี่ย) ถ่ายไป72รูป เสียไป40 ลืมเปิดฝากล้องบ้าง ถ่ายที่มืดบ้าง เพิ่งรู้ว่ามันถ่ายในที่ร่มไม่ได้เลย(ต้องมีแฟลช ถึงสามารถ) เพราะมันเป็นกล้องกลางแดด แถมตอนล้างคุณพี่ร้านอัดรูปยังทำให้เป็นรูปเดี่ยวๆอีกตะหาก(ลืมบอกร้าน - -") ต้องมานั่งทำHalf Frame เอง แล้วกูจะซื้อทำไมเนี่ย...

I'm a really big fan of the Lomo look, and I know it's been done to death, but I tried my best to achieve that effect. I know there's an easier way in Photoshop CS3, but I did it through several steps which allowed more control. I think I need to work on softening my edges.

Again, I tried to achieve the Lomo look and I'm actually kinda thrilled with the results. I'll continue to play with it and see what comes of it.

Tad Tu vari darīt visādas muļķības un aizbildināties ar darbu! :D Ooo, un re kas man šodien iekrita acīs no Brūna Valtera: "ja man jāizvēlas vai maksāt 10ls par grāmatu vai aiziet uz esīti, es labāk nopērku cigaretes." :D Aj. lai svētīti tie datoriķi, kas izdomāja internetā ieviest blogošanu, jo man jau nu patīk atrast un nofavorītot topošos rakstniekus un brīvdomātājus :)

Ā. pavisam aizmirsu - es iešu uz Dziesmu svētkiem. Es! Hahā. Un par to jāsaka lielais paldies Martiņai.

Citādāk "every day is exactly the same". Šefs un blakusgalda pavēlniece ir atvaļinājumā, kas nozīmē, ka man ir garlaicīgi un no garlaicības mēdzu pieļaut kļūdas. Piemēram aizmigt atstutējot galvu pret roku. Gribu atvaļinājumu un savā paradīzē (nesen atklāju, ka vislabāk jūtos mājas dārzā - tā arī ir mana paradīze). Bet tam ir arī savas labās puses! Varu klausīties Les Nubians :)

Bet tomēr ir dīvaini. Satikt kādu, kurš senāk ir bijis labs draugs, un nesadzirdēt neko. "I can deal with faith but I can't deal with the little things" (Danny Elfman - Little Things).

Bet savādāk ir labi. Tiešām, tā kā Dainis saka: "Ir labi. es mostos gultā viens. saldējumus un šokolādes izbaudu viens. koncertos sēžu pats par sevi. un mājup dodos tikai pa liepziedu ceļiem. drīz kājas lips ziedos, asfalts kurpes ar medus lūpām turēs pie zemes. un es tik iešu." Uz SigurRos vēl ir biļetes. Jorpojām ir. Saņemies, Elvīr, Tev tur ir jābūt!

Šeit redzams kā Marta mani nolaupa. Mēs izdomājām, ka, ja viņa mani nolaupītu un prasītu izpirkuma naudu manam šefam, mums nevajadzētu strādāt un varētu braukt garā atvaļinājumā :)

Kenapa aaargh?karena sepertinya masi kurang maksimal make si Diana F+ neh....harus dikulik-kulik lagi dan perjuangan mencari 120 mm pastinya... tapi yah bisa menjadi cambuk buat pembelajaran LOMO lah yak...*sok bijak... Okay, so these are the good ones! (in my opinion)

Pero parang hindi pa rin sapat na uminom lang ng green tea ngayon. Dapat talaga ay mag healthy lifestyle para manumbalik ang dating balingkinitang katawan. :-P
